About This Church

Who Are We?
  • “Who we are”, starts with, “Who we follow”. We follow Jesus Christ. You will not find a supplemental creed, articles of faith, or an ever changing “revelation”. We follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the “power of God unto salvation” and the “righteousness of God” (Romans 1:16). Jesus' doctrine was “once delivered”, and his truth “shall not pass away” (Jude 1:3; Matthew 24:35). We are united in this. Jesus is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6). Therefore Jesus is the Christ, Lord and Savior (Acts 2:36; Ephesians 5:23). This makes Jesus different from any other leader. This too is what makes us different. Isn’t this refreshing!

  • We are undenominational. Here’s why! Jesus Christ has already told us how to live in the New Testament of the Bible. We can read and understand this truth ourselves. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”(John 8:32). We do not need any church, religious group, or denominational convention to tell us what’s right or wrong. What Jesus has taught is the final word! His word is the truth. Jesus is our authority! Additionally, Jesus never set up a single denomination. Not one, much less the hundreds which men have set up! Let’s build together upon Jesus, not denominations.

  • Simply put, we are Christians who have each obeyed the Gospel of Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and we assemble as God’s family, to continue in this faith.

What is our Organization?
  • We are locally organized with only Jesus Christ as our head.

  • Our head is Jesus Christ, the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 1:22; 2:20).

  • Our foundation is established upon the work of the first century apostles and prophets of Christ (Ephesians 2:20-22).

  • Our leadership consists of overseers (elders) who are qualified according to the Lord’s word, and locally appointed among this church (1st Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).

  • The rest of the church is made up of: deacons (1st Timothy 3:8-13), evangelists (2nd Timothy 4:2-5), teachers (2nd Timothy 2:2), and saints, or all who are sanctified in Christ (1st Corinthians 1:2; Philippians 1:1). Every person serves an important role!

What is our Outreach to others?
  • Every person is valued. God gives each one of us the right to create ourselves new in His Son Jesus Christ. Every person should be useful to God, others and self. When Christ comes again, He will resurrect His own from the dead, unto everlasting life in Heaven (1st Thessalonians 4:13-18). We do not want to miss this!

  • We invite Christians to unite with us in Christ. In this relationship, we will worship God together, build one another up in faith, become stronger in the truth of Christ, empathize with each others joys and sorrows, and support one another in the burdens of this life (1st Corinthians 12:25-26; Ephesians 4:1-16).

  • We invite sinners to hear God’s word through public and private teachings. God’s love is evident, in that He gave the life of His Son to save us from our sins. We believe that God gives every sinner the opportunity to turn from sin, and escape damnation in hell, by being forgiven through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

What is our Governing Authority?
  • Our governing authority is simply Jesus Christ. Jesus has all authority. We do not have any authority, we simply obey his (Matthew 28:18; Ephesians 1:20-23; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:1-3). Jesus relates his covenant through the New Testament of the Bible. Therefore, all that we do as Christians, “in word or in deed”, must be according to the teaching of Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:17).

Family Opportunities.
  • God is pro-family, and so are we. Families worship together at services of the church, and are encouraged to visit one another from house to house (Acts 2:42-46). We support families, both as a body of believers in Christ, and as individual Christians (Ephesians 5:21-6:4). Children are supervised by their parents, and godly activities for youth are encouraged as an outreach of the home.

  • Bible classes are offered for all ages on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening when the church meets.

Membership requirements.
  • No more and no less than what Christ requires for admission into his body, the saved, shall be required for admission to this local church.

  • Membership requires that one obey the Gospel of Christ. Christ’s commands that each sinner believe the Gospel, repent of one’s sins, confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, and be baptized into Christ (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; Galatians 3:28-29).

  • Christians must continue steadfast in the faith, and work, and assemble with Christians in the body of Christ, which is the church. (Romans 12:1-2; 1st Corinthians 12:12-31; Hebrews 10:25).
